Abstract:
The Monthly/8-km Grid Meteorological Dataset at the Middle and Upper Reaches of the Yellow River Basin of China (1980-2015) was developed based on the monthly average temperature, maximum temperature, minimum temperature, average relative humidity, average wind speed, precipitation (accumulated from 20:00 of the previous day to 20:00 of the day), sunshine hours, and the potential evapotranspiration calculated using Penman-Monteith algorithm at the 195 stations surrounding the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River Basin. The platform of ANUSPLIN, the smooth spline functions of thin plates with different variables were constructed by comprehensively considering the influence of topography on the spatial differentiation of air temperature, wind speed, and humidity, and that of radiation, humidity, and wind speed on potential evapotranspiration. The dataset includes: (1) the boundary data of the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River basin; (2) the monthly/8-km average temperature, maximum temperature, minimum temperature, average relative humidity, average wind speed, precipitation, sunshine hours, and potential evapotranspiration data from 1980 to 2015. The dataset is archived in .shp and .img data formats, and consists of 3463 data files with data size of 672 MB (Compressed to one single file with 138 MB).Browse
