Abstract:
Southampton Island located in the north of Hudson Bay, which is part of the Canada Arctic Archipelago. Its geo-location is between 63°05′56″N and 62°55′24″N, 87°13′15″W and 80°08′59″W. The area of the Southampton Island is 43493.13 km², and the coastline is 1923.01 km long. The Southampton Island belongs to the Qikiqtaaluk Region, Nunavut Territory, Canada. The dataset is developed based on the Google Earth images and the referenced maps. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files, archived in both .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 5.79 MB (compressed to 2.35 MB in two files).
