Abstract:
October Revolution Island, located in the Arctic Circle, is the largest Island in the Severnaya Zemlya Archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. It is separated 3 km from Komsomolets Island at its north, separated 9 km from Pioneer Island at its northwest, and separated 19 km from Bolshevik Island by Shokalsky Strait at its southeast. The October Revolution Island belongs to the Krasnoyarsk kray, Siberia region, Russia. The geo-location of the Island is 78°46′4″N-80°10′11″N, 92°54′12″E-100°6′28″E. It is 147 km wide from east to west and 158 km long from south to north. The area of the Island is 14,201.74 km2 and its coastline is 1,564.60 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth images and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 17 data files and archived in .kmz and .shp formats, with the data size of 1.17 MB (Compressed to 850 KB in two files).
