Abstract：

The Lakshadweep Archipelago is located at Laccadive Sea. It belongs to the Lakshadweep District of Union Territory of Lakshadweep of India. Its geo-location is 8°15′56″N – 11°42′20″N, 72°5′13″E-73°42′9″E. It is separated from the Indian Continental 210 km at its east and from Maldives at its south by the Eight Degree Channel. There are 3 islands and a series of atolls and reefs in the Lakshadweep archipelago. The islands include Aminidivi Islands, Laccadive Islands and Minicoy Islands. The Aminidivi Islands are consisted of Amini Atoll, Kadmat Atoll, Kiltan Island, Chetlat Island, Bitra Island and Perumal Par Atoll and Byramgore Reef and Cherbaniani Reef. The Laccadive Islands are consisted of Bangaram Atoll, Agatti Atoll, Pitti Island, Kavaratti Atoll, Andrott Island, Kalpeni Atoll and Suheli Par Atoll. The Minicoy Islands are consisted of Maliku Atoll, the only one in the islands. The total area of the Islands is 31.10 km², the total coastline is 156.06 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and shp data formats with the data size of 658 KB (Compressed to 273 KB in two files).
