Abstract:
Bali Island is located in the western part of Lesser Sunda Islands (Nusa Tenggara Islands) in Indonesia, between the Indian Ocean and the Bali Sea. It is 2.27km separated from Java Island by the Bali Strait in the West, and 35.60km separated from Lombok Island in the East. The Bali Island is in the Bali province of the Republic of Indonesia. Denpasar, the provincial capital, is the largest city in the Bali Island, to the south is the international tanker port Benoa. The geolocation of the Bali Island is between 8°3'42"Sand 8°50'57"S, 114°25'53"E and 115°42'44"E. The outline of the island is similar to a rhombus, and the main axis is east-west.The total area of the Bali Island calculated based on Albers projection is 5380.22 km², and the coastline calculated based on Lambert projection is 551.32 km. The dataset is developed based on the Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset Based on Google Earth images (2015), combined with relevant maps of Indonesia. The dataset is archived in.kmz and.shp data formats, and is composed of 23 data files with a data size of 149 KB (compressed into 3 files with 110 KB).
