Abstract:
Mackenzie King Island is an island in the Queen Elizabeth Islands of Canada, which is located in the Arctic Ocean. It is 17.44 km separated from Borden Island in its north,78.25 km separated from the Melville Island in its south, and 5.55 km from Brock Island in its west. Its geo-location is between 77°19′34″N and 78°07′06″N, 113°19′04″W and 109°32'56″W. Most of the Mackenzie King Island is in Northwest Territories, and the rest in the northeastern is in Nunavut. The total area of the Mackenzie King Island calculated based on Albers projection is 5109.68 km², and the coastline calculated based on Lambert projection is 529.61 km long. The island has a polar climate and is uninhabited. This dataset is developed based on the Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset Based on Google Earth Images (2015) and the relevant maps of Canada. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, consists of 17 data files with data size of 461 KB (compressed to two data files with 321 KB).
