Abstract:

Commercial districts, which accommodate various commercial activities such asshopping, leisure, and business, are regarded as an important part of BeijingMegalopolis. Based on the collection of the commercial districts with the95466 POI (point of interest) and road network data of Beijing Megalopolis in 2013 and the K-means clustering analysis methodology, the Commercial districtsanalysisdataset of BeijingMegalopolis (2013) was developed. The dataset is calculated based on the five function types of the commercial districts, they are: cuisine culturestreets, professional wholesale markets, large-scale shopping centers, convenience services, andcommon commercial centers functioning between large- scale shopping centers andconvenience services.The statistics of the classification and functional characteristics of each of the five commercial districts were listed at the dataset. The dataset with both spatial and attribute data is archived at .shp data format, and the compressed data size is 227KB. The research paper on the dataset was published at the Journal of Geographical Research, No. 6, Vol.34, 2015.
