Abstract:
The dataset covers the habitat area of the Menghai-Lancang Asian elephant herd from Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture to Lancang Lahu Autonomous County, Pu'er City in Yunan Province of China. The authors integrated the habitat suitability index (HSI) model and the MaxEnt-derived contribution rates of habitat evaluation factors to develop the yearly dataset on habitat suitability assessment for the Menghai-Lancang Asian Elephant herd (1988-2020). The dataset includes the assessed values and assessment levels of habitat suitability for the Menghai-Lancang Asian elephant herd from 1988 to 2020, with a spatial resolution of 30 m. The dataset is archived in .tif and .txt formats, it consists of 305 data files with data size of 3.55 GB (Compressed to four files with 1.59 GB). The analysis paper related to the dataset has been published in Acta Ecologica Sinica, Vol. 43, No. 9, 2023.
