Abstract：
The yearly dataset of high-quality rural development in each province of China (2005-2020) was developed based on statistical data from China Rural Statistical Yearbook, China Statistical Yearbook, China Population and Employment Statistical Yearbook, etc. integrated with entropy method. There is a comprehensive evaluation system of rural high-quality development consisting of 28 specific indicators from 5 dimensions of industrial prosperity, ecological livable, rural culture civilization, effective governance, and prosperous life. The dataset includes the following data in 31 provinces of China (The data from Taiwan, Hongkong and Macao is unavailable): (1) evaluation index data of high-quality rural development; (2) high-quality rural development and financial development index data. The dataset is archived in .xlsx format, and consists of two files with data size of 375 KB (compressed into 1 file with 359 KB). The analysis paper based on the dataset has been published in Acta Geographica Sinica, Vol. 79, No. 2, 2024.
