Abstract:
Wilczek Land is an Island in the Franz Josef Land which is located in the Barents Sea of the Arctic Ocean. It is 10.3 km separated from La-Ronciere Island in its north, 32.6 km separated from Salm Island in its south, 9.47 km from Komsomol Islands in its west, and 6.5 km from Graham Bell Island in its east. The Wilczek Land is in Arkhangelsk, Northwest Region of Russia. The geo-location of the Wilczek Land is between 80°22'2"N and 80°52'1"N, 59°21'31"E and 62°10'52"E. The total area of the Wilczek Land is 1978.02 km² based on the Albers projection, and the coastline is 274.91 km long based on the Lambert projection. The island is almost completely covered with ice and snow and it is uninhabited. The dataset is developed based on the Global multiple scale shorelines dataset based on Google Earth images (2015), combined with maps of Russia. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, consists of 15 data files with data size of 448 KB (compressed to two data files with 314 KB).
