Abstract:
Climate-comfortable period (CCP), as a temporal index, has a far-reaching impact on human settlements and human activities. Based on the long-term daily meteorological data (1981-2010) from 814 national basic meteorological observing stations throughout the mainland of China, climate comfortable and uncomfortable period dataset in the mainland of China (1981-2010) is developed. Temperature and humidity indexes (THI) and wind effect index (WEI) were generated and modified from the “seasonal anchor method”, which can be adopted as a national standard, by improving the threshold values of each level of thermal sensation. The dataset includes: (1) Annual average climate comfortable and uncomfortable period of provinces in the mainland of China (1981-2010); (2) Annual average climate comfortable period and uncomfortable period of prefecture-level cities in the mainland of China (1981-2010); (3) Annual average comfortable period and uncomfortable period in the mainland of China (1981-2010); (4) Changes of the annual average comfortable period and uncomfortable period of 814 basic meteorological stations in the mainland of China between two stages (1981-1995, 1996-2010). The dataset is archived in one file with .xlsx format, and the data size is 165 KB. The analysis article based on the dataset was published at the Journal of Natural Resources in No. 8, Vol. 34, 2019.Browse
