Abstract:
The Chetlat Island, also called Chetlat Atoll, is located at Laccadive Sea. It belongs to the Lakshadweep District of Union Territory of Lakshadweep of India, and it is the northernmost island of Aminidivi Islands. Its geo-location is 11°40′51″N-11°42′20″N, 72°42′15″E-72°42′59″E. It is separated from the Kiltan Island 37.5 km at its southeast, from Kadmat Island 47.5 km at its south and from Bitra Island 57 km at its southwest. The island lies in northeast to southwest, 2.8 km long and 550 m wide. The Island lies in the eastern part of the Chetlat Atoll, the western part of the Atoll is the Chetlat Lagoon and reef. The area of the Chetlat Island is 1.18 km², and coastline is 6.52 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and shp data formats with the data size of 30.6 KB (Compressed to 13.3 KB in two files).
