Abstract:
The Egyptian Oasis is distributed along the Nile River and in the low-lying desert areas. It mainly consists of the Nile River Oasis, Toshka Lake Oasis, Farafra Oasis, and Dakhla Oasis, etc. It is located between 22°9′11″N and 31°37′28″N, 24°53′5″E and 35°37′8″E, with the total area of 82,453.44 km² (Albers). It contains 168 individual oases. Among them, the largest oasis is Nile River Oasis, which covers an area of 71,355.43 km². The dataset was developed based on Google Earth 2020 imagery and related maps. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 17 data files with data size of 649 MB (Compressed into 2 files with 253 MB).
