Abstract：

Balearic Islands is located in 84 km east of the Iberian Peninsula, western of the Mediterranean Sea. It belongs to Balears, Spain. The geo-location of the Balearic Islands is between 38°38′26″N and 40°5′40″N, 1°9′26″E and 4°19′41″E. The Balearic Islands are composed of 219 islands, including Mallorca Island, Menorca Island, Eivissa Island, Formentera Island, etc. The total area of the Balearic Islands is 4993.49 km² based on Albers projection, and the total coastline is 1462.31 km long based on Lambert projection. In the Balearic Islands, the Mallorca Island is the largest island with an area of 3624.70 km². The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 17 data files with data size of 9.38 MB (compressed to 2 data files with 6.40 MB).
