Abstract：
The Maliku Atoll, also called as Minicoy Islands, is located at Laccadive Sea. It belongs to the Lakshadweep District of Union Territory of Lakshadweep of India, and it is located in southernmost of Lakshadweep archipelago. The Maliku Atoll is separated by the Eight Degree Chanel from Thuraakunu Island of Maldives 129 km at its south. The northwest area of Maliku Atoll is Minicoy reef and lagoon, and Minicoy Islands are located in its south and east area. The geo-location of Minicoy Islands is 8°15′56″N-8°19′30″N, 73°0′38″E-73°4′43″E, including two islands. The main island is Minicoy Island with area of 4.70 km², located at the eastern and southeastern of the Atoll, and the Viringili Island lies in the southwestern part of the Atoll. The total area of Minicoy Islands is 4.73 km², and the total coastline is 25.62 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and shp data formats with the data size of 62.1 KB (Compressed to 27.2 KB in two files).
