It is in Zhiduo county of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province of China. It is a sulfuric acid subtype salt water lake in Qinghai Province, China. The geo-location of the Haidingnuoer Lake is from 35°29′52″ to 35°37′38″, 93°3′44″ to 93°17′24″. It is an intermountain faulted lake with the Kunlun Mountain Range in the north and the Hohxil Range in the south. The Haidingnuoer Lake is in the semiarid climate area of alpine steppe with annual mean temperature of -4 - -2℃ and annual precipitation of 200 mm. The Haidingnuoer Lake has an area of 81.96 km² and lake shoreline of 269.40 km long. There are 79 islands with different shapes in the lake, among which the area of the biggest island is 1.56 km², the smallest island is 36.75 m², and five islands are less than 100 m². The water in the Haidingnuoer Lake mainly depends on seasonal stream runoff and underground diving. Haiding River is the largest one that flows into the lake. Qinghai-Xizang Carex and Artemisia purpurea are the main vegetation around the lake. The dataset is based on Google Earth images (2015) and related reference maps. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats and is consisted of 22 data files with data size of 8.82 MB (Compressed to two data files with data size of 3.03 MB).
