Abstract:
With global warming, the extreme weather events in southwest China have become more and more frequent and the damage has become serious threat to national economic development. Based on daily temperature dataset from 33 stations in Guizhou Province, the authors counted the extreme low temperature days (TN10P), extreme high temperature days (TN90P), summer days (SU25), frog days (FD0), duration of warmness (WSDI) and duration of coldness (CSDI) to develop the dataset of yearly extreme temperature dataset recording each counties of Guizhou Province, China. The results showed that in the last 57 years, the climate of Guizhou was getting warmer and accelerating the trend in the 21st century; the extreme high temperature indices were increased, while the extreme low temperature indices were decreased. The dataset includes: (1) statistics of yearly extreme temperature indices in 9 cities of Guizhou Province, China (Anshun, Bijie, Guiyang, Liupanshui, Qiandongnan, Qiannanzhou, Qianxinan, Tongren, Zunyi); (2) statistics of yearly extreme low temperature days (TN10P) in 33 counties of Guizhou Province; (3) statistics of yearly extreme high temperature days (TX90P) in 33 counties of Guizhou Province; (4) statistics of yearly summer days (SU25) in counties of Guizhou Province; (5) statistics of yearly frost days (FD0) in counties of Guizhou Province; (6) statistics of yearly duration of coldness (CSDI) in counties of Guizhou Province; (7) statistics of yearly duration of coldness (CSDI) in counties of Guizhou Province ; (8) the trend of extreme temperature indices in 33 counties of Guizhou Province; and (9) anomaly data of yearly extreme temperature indices in Guizhou Province. The dataset was archived in one single file (.xlsx) with data size of 420 KB. The analysis paper based on the dataset was published at the journal of Resources Science, Vol. 40, No. 8, 2018.
