Abstract:

North Belcher Islands is located in the eastern of the Canada's Hudson Bay and west of the Ungava Peninsula, south of the Sleeper Islands, and west of the Bakers Dozen Islands. The North Belcher Islands is part of the Belcher Islands and the Canada Arctic Archipelago. The geo-location of the Islands is between 79°59′47″W and 79°29′09″W, 56°37′07″N and 56°59′14″N. The biggest island in the North Belcher Islands is the Split Island, which are 171.75 km² in area and 203.89 km in coast line. The total area of the North Belcher Islands is 284.12 km², and the coastline is 600.44 km long. The North Belcher Islands belongs to the Qikiqtaaluk Region, Nunavut Territory, Canada. The dataset is developed based on the Google Earth images and the referenced maps. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files, archived in both .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 5.25 MB.
