Abstract:

Based on field tree by tree investigations conducted in Luoyang Town, Suizhou, Hubei, from 2022 to 2023, the authors analyzed the relationship between the distribution of ancient ginkgo trees and factors such as altitude, slope, and roads to obtain the tree by tree dataset of ancient ginkgo biloba in Luoyang Town, Suizhou, Hubei of China (2023). The result shows that there are a total of 2036 ancient ginkgo trees, concentrated in the southwestern of Luoyang Town. The dataset includes: (1) distribution of ancient ginkgo trees, the attribute data are geographic location, height, diameter at breast height, growth status, and ancient tree grade; (2) elevation classification data; (3) distance from roads; (4) statistics of the distribution of ginkgo trees with changes in altitude, slope, and aspect; (5) field investigation photos. The dataset is archived in .shp, .xlsx, .jpg, and .txt formats, and consists of 41 data files with data size of 88.9 MB (compressed into one file with 83.2 MB).
