Abstract：
Xainza Bason, located in center of Tibet from 86。59′57″E in the west, 90。43′47″E in the east, and 30。3′8″N in the south, 33。0′21″N in the north. It is 68515.27km2, including 247 lakes. Based on the Landsat data in 1976, 1990, 2000, 2008, as well as the field surveying, the Time Series of Lakes Dataset in Xainza basin of Tibet (1976 – 2008) was developed. The data covers the lakes in 1976, 1990, 2000 and 2008. Three groups of lakes are identified based on the location and changes. The dataset is consisted of (1) boundary data of the Xainza Basin; (2) spatial distribution of the lakes in 1976, 1990, 2000 and 2008. The dataset is archived in .shp, .kml and .xlsx data format with the compressed data size of 12.5MB. The analysis paper was published in the Journal of Mountain Science, No.3, Vol.12, 2015.
