Abstract：

The port project is one of the landmark projects for the implementation of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road initiative of China. Based on the public available information collection and analysis, the dataset of China oversea port projects during the Last Forty Years（1979-2019）was assembled. There are total 101 port projects have been collected to the dataset, these ports were constructed during the last forty years from 1979 to 2019. The items of the dataset include the following information: name of the port project, port location in continent and country, port project construction year started and completion or expected year, total investment from China, international cooperation mode, and Chinese cooperative enterprise. The dataset is archived in .xlsx data format, and in one data file with data size of 97.7 KB.
