Abstract:

Based on the GTAP8(Global Trade Analysis Project)database, Mainland China, as well as 11 trade regions (countries) are identified, they are: USA, Japan, EU, Australia, OECD countries else, India, Brazil, Russia, Hong Kong and Taiwan of China, and the countries of the world else. By a global Multi-region Input-Output Model and the GTAP8 and IEA data, the Carbon Emissions Embodied in Trade Dataset of China (2004, 2007) was developed. This data file is consisted of 7 data tables, they are: (1) Distribution of carbon emissions embodied in Mainland China's import, export and net export of embodied emissions in 2004 and 2007; (2) Contributions of three factors to net export of embodied carbon emissions from Mainland China to the developed and the developing in 2004 and 2007; (3) Flows and respective proportions of total embodied emissions in 2007 of six exporting sectors in Mainland China with the largest embodied emissions;(4) Sector distribution of embodied emissions from the developed world to Mainland China and respective proportions of total emissions embodied in exports in 2007;(5) Sector distribution of embodied emissions from the developing world to Mainland China and respective proportions of total emissions embodied in exports in 2007;(6) Domestic complete emissions factors for major trading sectors for China and the developed world in 2007 and changing rates from 2004 to 2007;(7) Domestic complete emission factors for major trading sectors of Mainland China and the developing in 2007. The data file is archived in .xlsx format with the data size of 30KB. The analysis of these data was published in “Journal of Resources and Ecology”, No.3, Vol.6, 2015.
