Abstract：
The Kalpeni Atoll is located at Laccadive Sea. It belongs to the Lakshadweep District of Union Territory of Lakshadweep of India, and it is located in southeastern of the Laccadive Islands. Its geo-location is 10°3′25″N-10°9′20″N, 73°39′36″E-73°42′9″E. The Kalpeni Atoll is separated from Andrott Island 72 km at its north, from Kavaratti Island 121 km at its northwest and from Minicoy Island 201 km at its southwest. A total of 6 islands or islets are included in the Kalpeni Atoll, including Cherlyam Island, Kalpeni Island, Koomel Islet, Tilakkam East Islet, Tilakkam West Islet, and Pitti Islet. Among the islands or islets, the Kalpeni Island is the biggest one with area of 2.49 km2. The total area of the Islands in the Kalpeni Atoll is 4.98 km², and the total coastline is 12.03 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and shp data formats with the data size of 87.8 KB (Compressed to 38.6 KB in two files).
