Abstract：
The South Maalhosmadulu Atoll is located from 4。59＇58〃N to 5。22＇09〃N, 72。50＇11〃E to 73。11＇31〃E, mid-west of Maldives among the North Maalhosmadulu Atoll in north, faadhippolhu Atoll in east, Goldhoo Atoll in south and the North Male Atoll in southeast. There are 91 islands in the South Maalhosmadulu Atoll, including Dharavandhoo, Kunfunadhoo, Maamaduvvari, Hithaadhoo, Kihaadhoo, Eydhafushi, Gemendhoo, Maalhos, Maadoo, Landaagiraavaru, Olhugili, Kamadhoo, Hibalhidhoo, Kudarikilu, Dhonfanu, Kihaadhufaru, Vakkaru, Kanifushi, Anantara, Kihava, Fares, Fonimagoodhoo, Dhakandhoo, Hirundhoo, Miriandhoo, Milaidhoo, Madhirivaadhoo, Thiladhoo, Dhandhoo, Aidhoo, Hanifarurah, Veyofushee and Hulhudhoo islands.The biggest island in the South Maalhosmadulu Atoll is the Dharavandhoo Island with the area of 0.66 km2. The total area of the islands in the South Maalhosmadulu Atoll is 8.56km2, and the coastline is 111.90km. The dataset was developed based on integration among the Google Earth images and related maps and records. The data is archived in data format with the compressed data size of 297KB.
