Abstract：
The Kusai Lake, also known as “Kusai Nur”, is the fifth largest lake in Hoh Xili, the home of Pantholops hodgsonii. The lake together with the nearby Haidingnuoer salt lake, etc., constitutes an important salinized wetland in the northeastern Hoh Xili. It is a nearest large saltwater lake to the Qinghai-Tibet Highway in Hoh Xili. It is located at the northeast corner of Suojia town, Zhiduo county, Yushu Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Qinghai Province, and its geo-location is 35°37′28″N - 35°50′11″N, 92°35′29″E - 93°6′16″E. Kusai Lake is long and narrow from the northwest to the southeast, with an area of 307.27 km² and the shoreline of 138.19 km long. The Kusai Lake is in semi-arid climate region with annual average temperature of about -5 ℃, annual precipitation of about 250 mm, and annual evaporation of about 1,600 mm. The average elevation of lake is above 4,700 m. The water mainly depends on the surface runoff, ice and snow melt water, and recharge of intermittent rivers. The Kusai River is the only and largest surface runoff directly flowing into the lake area. There is mainly typical alpine steppe around the lake. There are several salinized meadows in the southeast corner of the lake. The dataset is developed based on Google Earth (2015) and related maps. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, consists of 15 data files with data size of 723 KB (Compressed to two data files with data size of 292 KB).
