Abstract：
The content of heavy metals in soil is one of the important environmental indicators. The surface soil samples of 96 sites in Yinchuan City were collected by grid method in 2015. The Dataset of heavy metals in surface soil of Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China is consisted of the statistical table of heavy metal elements in surface soil of Yinchuan City and the site map. It generally shows the content of Cs, Mg, Pb, Co, Cr, Ti in surface soil of Yinchuan City and the distribution of each element of 6 heavy metals. The dataset is archived in both .kmz, .shp and .xls data formats with the data size of 73.8 KB. The dataset is consisted of 8 data files (compressed into 2 data files with the data size of 18 KB）. The analysis data paper was published at the Foreign Medical Sciences (Section of Medgeography), Vol. 38, No. 4, 2017.
