Abstract:

Eglinton Island is located in the southwestern of the Queen Elizabeth Islands in the Arctic Ocean. It is 22.65 km separated from Prince Patrick Island in the northwest, and 132.12 km separated from Banks Island in the south, and 22.25 km separated from Melville Island in the east. The geo-location of the Eglinton Island is between 75°30'11"N - 76°7'43"N, 117°26'30"W - 119°24'28"W. It belongs to Nunavut region, Canada. The total area of the Eglinton Island is 1554.47 km² based on the Albers projection, and the coastline is 273.46 km based on the Lambert projection. The dataset is developed based on the Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset based on Google Earth images (2015), combined with maps of Canada. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 16 data files with data size of 961 KB (compressed to two data files with 384 KB).
