Abstract：
Rural water poverty and agricultural modernization level dataset of China (2005 – 2014) is consisted of three tables of each provinces in China (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and Tibet are not included because of no data available) from 2005 to 2014, thy are: (1) Annual rural water poverty value and related indexes of each province of China, including rural water benefit population, per capita water supply, water resource of per capita, level of education, proportion of water-saving irrigation area, rural per capita net income, per capita water consumption, water productivity, intensity of pesticide and fertilizer; (2) Annual agricultural modernization level and related indexes of each province of China, including agricultural labor output, agricultural mechanization degree and agricultural irrigation index; (3) The coupled coordination degree and the Gini coefficient of rural water poverty and agricultural modernization level in China. The dataset is developed by integration methodology using the Economic Yearbook, Rural Yearbook, Hydrology Yearbook etc. The dataset is archived in .xlsx data format in one single data file with data size of 85.2 KB. The analysis paper base on the dataset was published in Scientia Geographica Sinica, Vol. 38, No. 5, 2018.
