Abstract：
The dataset on inter-provincial railway freight network of China (1998-2016) was developed based on the railway freight data among provinces (no data in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) of China, integrating with social network spatial analysis in GIS. The dataset includes: (1) the yearly data of the network density of provinces from 1998 to 2016; (2) the railway freight data between East, central and West China in 1998, 2011 and 2016; (3) the railway freight data between three coastal economic circles in 1998, 2011 and 2016; (4) The railway freight among provinces of China. The dataset is archived in one Excel (.xlsx) file with 210 KB.
