Abstract：

The Panshi Qiantang Rice Case on Permanent Basic Farmland was listed on the Geographical Indications Environment & Sustainability (GIES Case No.12), which is part of Innovation China program. The video shows the natural environment and social economy of Panshi City through photos, animation and other ways in Jilin province of China. The paddy field area was 17,787 hectares in the Panshi City. The case area is located in the transition zone from Changbai Mountain to Songhuajing-Nenjiang Plain, a mostly hilly area. Snow-melt water and precipitation are naturally collected into reservoirs and flood dam. The soil in this area is mainly black soil rich in organic matter. The soil quality is better than the standard of soil environmental quality risk control value for soil contamination of agricultural land, and the quality of irrigation water is better than that of urban drinking water. At present, there are mainly six rice varieties planted in the Panshi City, and the qualities are better than the national standard of high-quality Rice. Ten observation stations were established over the case area to automatically record the rice growth conditions and situations. The monitoring indicators from the stations include water quality, soil, meteorology, vegetation, pests and diseases. The Panshi Qiantang Rice has established the traceability system technology and platform. The traceability information can be presented from three dimensions: quality, geographical location and time. The rice products from the case area can be retrieved by Quick Response Code (QR Code), as well as the DOI identifier. The video is archived in .mov and .mp4 formats, it takes 4:51 minutes.
