Abstract：

In order to validate the GlobleLand30, 114 in situ data samples were selected in Henan Province, China in 2015. Land cover types had been identified for the 114 samples according to the GlobleLand30 specification of land cover classification system. After checking and correcting the samples of field survey with Google Earth, the in situ validation dataset in Henan province was produced and used as a reference data to analyze the accuracy of GlobeLand30. The validation result indicates that the overall accuracy of the GlobleLand30 covering Henan Province is 83.33%. This dataset can be used not only for GlobleLand30 verification, but also for other land use / land cover accuracy analysis in Henan Province at similar resolution. The In Situ Validation Dataset for GlobeLand30 in Henan Province, China is consisted of two parts: one is the in situ validation spatial data in .kmz and shp formats and the other is the comparison data in .xlsx format between the in situ validation samples and its related data from the GlobleLand30. The compressed data size of the dataset is 30.9KB. The analysis paper based on the dataset has been published at the journal of Geographical Research, No. 8, Vol. 35, 2016.
