Abstract:

The data of the time and space scale effect of the factors driving water resources agriculture-to-urban in China, acquired by the analysis of panel-data from 2003 to 2010 in 31 provinces. Water resources transformation from agriculture to industry here means the water resources transferred from agriculture and rural villages into industry and cities. Based on the statistics data from 31 regions in provincial level (the data from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan are not calculated), the data recording 9 driving factors from 2003-2010 were selected. They are industrial structure(X1), GDP(X2), population(X3), urbanization(X4), ecological environment improvement(X5), comparative benefits of water resources utilization(X6), effective irrigation rate(X7), water saving irrigation rate(X8) and per capita water resources(X9). Integrating the data above and the analysis model, the water resources transformation assessment dataset from agriculture to industry of provinces of China 2003-2010 was developed. The dataset is consisted of four tables: (1) statistics of 9 driving factors on water resources transformation from agriculture to industry in provincial level from 2003- 2010; (2) standard regression coefficients of the factors driving water resources agriculture-to-urban in China from 2003 to 2010; (3) standard regression coefficients for regions with different water shortage degrees from 2003 to 2010; and (4) assessment result of water resources transformation from agriculture to industry from 2003-2010. The dataset is archived in .xlsx data format with the data size of 104KB. The analysis paper was published in the Journal of Natural Resources, No. 1, Vol.30, 2015.
