Abstract:
The FY3D MERSI 250 m Daily Dataset Covering Africa was generated from daily FY3D MERSI L1B 250 m granule data and it covers the entire Africa for the period of January 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024. The key steps for the data processing included the radiance calibration, the geometric correction, the tiling of 10°x10° with the consideration of optimal data selection for overlapping area within the same day based on the observing angle and solar angle, the mask of sea and land as well as the mosaic of entire Africa. The dataset is archived in common ENVI file (.img, .hdr), and consists of 1030 data files with data size of 12 TB (Compressed into 515 files, one for each day, with 2.95 TB) (Data on October 31, 2023 is unavailable).
