Abstract：

Tazhong Oasis is located in the hinterland of the Taklamakan Desert, the second largest flowing desert in the world, and center of the Tarim Basin. The Tazhong Oasis is in Qiemo County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. It is located between 38°57′19″N and 39°11′26″N, 83°36′19″E and 83°43′58″E. The Tazhong Oasis consists of 6 pixies of oases with a total area of 5.07 km² (Albers), in which, the largest one has an area of 3.79 km², covering 74.75% of the total oasis area. The plants that grow in this oasis are mainly tamarisk, pokeweed and Mongolian sand holly. The dataset includes: (1) boundary data of the oasis; (2) photographs of several plants and communities. The dataset is archived in .kmz, .shp, .jpg and .txt data formats, and consists of 22 data files with data size of 27.1 MB (compressed into 2 files with 26.7 MB).
