Abstract:
During July-August 2023, we conducted field investigations in the Tarim River Basin Oasis. The land use types include cropland, forestland, grassland, and barren land. The 622 Soil samples were collected from two depth intervals (0-25 cm and 25-50 cm). The analyses were performed at the Public Technology Service Center of Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The dataset includes: (1) geo-locations of 622 sample sites; (2) soil physicochemical properties such as sodium saturation percentage, cation exchange capacity, organic carbon content, and total nitrogen content; (3) land use type at each sample site. The dataset is archived in .shp and .xlsx formats, and consists of 15 files with data size of 727 KB (compressed to one single file with 105 KB). The dataset provides valuable data for research on soil evolution and ecosystem service evaluation in the oases of the Tarim River Basin.
