Abstract:
The Dataset of heavy metal contents in oasis soils of the Tarim River Basin (2023) was developed based on in situ survey in the oasis areas of the Tarim River Basin during July-August 2023. The soil samples were collected from 0-25 cm depth from 622 sampling sites, and analyzed at the Public Technology Service Center Laboratory of the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The dataset includes: (1) geo-locations of 622 sampling sites; (2) concentrations of 8 heavy metals (Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Cd, Pb, and Hg) at each sample. The dataset is archived in .shp and .xls formats, and consists of 8 files with data size of 459 KB (compressed into one single file with 89.1 KB).
