The 1 km/5 d Leaf Area Index dataset at 1km Resolution in the Belt and Road and Surround Region (2014) is one of a series of the 1 km/5 d Leaf Area Index datasets at 1 km Resolution in the Belt and Road and Surround Region. Leaf area index (LAI) is an important indicator for quantifying the exchange processes of energy and matter between the land surface and atmosphere. The dataset was developed based on the pre-processing data integrated from the six sensors, including Terra/MODIS, Aqua/MODIS, FY3A/VIRR, FY3B/VIRR, FY-3A/MERSI, and FY-3B/MERSI, as well as referenced with DEM and GlobeLand30 (CHEN Jun, 2010), as well as the LAI inversion algorithm based on the lookup table (LUT) which simulated from the stochastic radiative transfer model. The projection of the dataset is Sinusoidal, the data format is *.tif (TIFF). The dataset is consisted of two kinds of data files: one is the integrated data for outliers and no-data replaced and the other one is the 1 km/5 d LAI data. The dataset is archived by 10°x10° tiles. There are 30670 data files in total, which was compressed into 12 data file packages (monthly based). The total data size is 61.78GB, compressed data size is 8.12 GB。
