Abstract：

Longbao National Nature Reserve is located in Longbao Town, Yushu County, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province of China. The geo-location of the reserve is between 33°07′ and 33°17′N, 96°24′ and 96°43′E, and the altitude is about 4100 m. The WorldView-2 images from April to October 2010 and the drone survey in July 2016 were used to interpret the location of yaks, Tibetan sheep and land use data in the reserve and its adjacent areas. The dataset includes: (1) boundary data of Longbao Reserve (including core area, buffer area and experimental area); (2) location data of yaks surveyed in 2010; (3) location data of yaks and Tibetan sheep surveyed in 2016; (4) UAV transects in 2016; (5) landuse data in 2010. The dataset is archived in .shp and .tif format, consists of 33 data files with data size of 8.60 MB (Compressed to one file with 209 KB). The paper based on the dataset was published at Science of the Total Environment, Vol.746, 2020.
