Aland islands is located at the southwest of Finland. Based on the Digital Global images from the Google Earth, the GIS data covering 13,161 individual islands had been developed (the minimum area of the island is 7 m2). These islands are located between Bothnian Sea and Baltic Sea, and between Sea of Aland and Archipelago Sea, covering the area between 59?45'21.3〃N to 60?39'56.3〃N and from 21?23'15.9〃E to 19?06'04.7〃E. The Alan Islands is the autonomous state of Finland. It is consisted of 16 districts and cities, including Mariehamn city, Geta, Eckero, Saltvlk, Finstrom, Hammarland, Jomala, Sound, Lumparland, Lemland, Brando, Kumlinge, Fardo, Sottunge, Foglo and Kokar municipalities. The total area of the islands is 1,635.06 km2, and the length of the coastline 8,271.93km. Among them, the islands which area is bigger than 2500m2 is 6450, and it is 40% of total number of the islands; however, its area is 99.67% of the total area of the islands. The islands which area is bigger than 1km2 is 104, which is only 0.79% of total number of the islands, moreover, its area is 1,369.19km2 that is 83.74% of total area of the islands. The biggest island is Alan Island, its area is 708.51km2, and this is 43.33% of total area of the Islands.
