The Guangou Valley of Wolong Reserve for Panda is located among the area of 31。0′16〞N to 31。7′17〞N，103。2′13〞E to 103。8′42〞E. Based on the remote sensing images including the Landsat TM on June 26, 1994, September 17, 2007 and WorldView-2 image on December 10, 2010, as well as the ASTER GDEM and the field surveying and vegetation maps, the Sample sites collection of alpine vegetation in Guangou Valley of Wolong Reserve for Panda was developed. The dataset is consisted of 122 sample sites, which include 54 alpine bushes and meadow sites, 8 broad-leaved forest sites, 31 coniferous forest sites and 30 bare land sites. The elevation and NDVI in 1994 and 2007 for each sample sites are listed in the dataset. Besides, the NDVI and Elevation data and Moving average values and variances of NDVI were included. The dataset is archived in the .kmz, .shp, .tif and .xlsx data formats with the compressed data size of 476KB. The analysis paper was published in the Journal of Geographical Research,No.11,Vol.34,2015.
