Abstract:

Babuyan Islands are located at the north of Luzon Island, between the Babuyan and the Balintang Channels. Based on Google Earth images, its geolocation is from 19°34′26″N to 18°48′43″N and from 121°11′44″E to 121°59′41″E. It is an archipelago, part of the Province Cagayan in the Philippines. Volcano islands, the Babuyan Islands is consisted of four large islands and a series of islets and giant rocks, they are: Babuyan island, Calayan island, Camiguin island, Fuga island, and Dalupiri, Panuitan, Mabag, Barit, Pamoctan and Irao Island. The biggest one of the islands is the Calayan Island with the area of 196.34 km², and the longest coastline is the Camiguin island with the 76.95 km long. The total area of the Babuyan Islands is 613.40 km², and the total coastline is 324.77 km long. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .shp and .kmz data formats with the data size of 3.44MB (Compressed to 1.35 MB in two data files).
