Abstract:

Awati township of Korla City is located in the northeast edge of Tarim Basin in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. Korla Fragrant Pear entered the national protection list of geographical indication products in 2005 and the first protection list of mutual protection of geographical indication products between China and EU in 2020. Korla Fragrant Pear is one of the pillars of Xinjiang fruit industry. This study developed the physical environment and socio-economic data related to Korla Fragrant Pear in the case study and nearby area of Peacock Oasis, in order to provide data and knowledge support for the sustainable development of Korla Fragrant Pear. The dataset includes: (1) boundary data of the case study and nearby areas (case area, Awati Township, Peacock Oasis, Korla City); (2) physical geography data of the case study and nearby areas (meteorology, DEM, soil, water, NDVI); (3) Korla fragrant pear varieties, cultivation specifications, and geographical indication product data; (4) Korla Fragrant Pear management data. The dataset is archived in .shp, .tif, .xlsx, .docx, and .pdf data formats, it consists of 62 data files with 631 MB (Compressed into one single file with 150 MB).Browse
