Abstract:

The Dataset of Surface Persistent Disappearing Water in China (1980s-2019) was developed based on the global surface water dataset (JRC global surface water, GSW) and in situ validation. Four different types of the disappearing water in China during 1980s-2019, which area was more than 0.1 km², were identified. They are: lakes, rivers, coastlines and others in China. The dataset includes: (1) spatial data of four types of persistent disappearing water in China during 1980s-2019; (2) statistics of types and areas of persistent disappearing water in China during 1980s-2019. The dataset is archived in .shp and .xlsx data formats, and consists of 9 data files with data size of 13.30 MB (Compressed into one single file with 9.24 MB).Browse
