Abstract:

In July and August 2018, we collected healthy and declining poplar tree core samples in Bashang area of Hebei Province of China (41°03 'N~41°27', 114°20 'E~115°58' 'E), and analyzed them experientially. The dataset includes: (1) basic information of Populus simonii shelterbelt plot in Bashang area of Hebei Province, including the geographical location, number, shelter forest type, density, canopy density, DBH, tree height, tree age and health status of the 52 sample plots; (2) standard chronology of the healthy and declining Populus simonii forest and its main characteristic parameters and common interval span analysis; (3) correlation analysis data of the healthy and declining poplar trees with monthly and seasonal climate factors; (4) moving correlation function analysis computed between the two chronologies and the seasonal and monthly climate data for the most important months; (5) time series and cross-dating test results of the healthy and declining Populus simonii forest. The dataset is archived in .txt, .xlsx, .out formats and consists of 4 data files with data size of 404 KB (Compressed into one single file with 152 KB). The analysis paper based on this dataset has been published in Acta Ecologica Sinica, Vol. 40, No. 24, 2020.Browse
