Abstract:

The Zhenba County is located in southern part of Shaanxi Province of China. The Daba and Michang Mountains cover most area of the county with 500-2500 m above sea level. Based on ASTER GDEM V003 data, we classified the area with elevation below 500 m as one category, and those above 500 meters as eight categories based on 250 m intervals. Then we conducted area statistics for each category. The area with an elevation higher than 1000 m accounts for 68.86% of the county. The dataset is archived in .tif format, and consists of 6 data files with data size of 15.1 MB (Compressed to one file with 379 KB).
