Abstract:

El Ni?o-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is the most important factor influencing the variability of extreme precipitation in China. Based on the monthly precipitation of a 0.5°x0.5° grid dataset and ENSO events released by the National Meteorological Information Center of China, there are 13 El Ni?o years during 1961-2013: 1963, 1965, 1969, 1972, 1982, 1983, 1987, 1992, 1994, 1997, 2002, 2006 and 2009; and 13 La Ni?a years: 1961, 1962, 1964, 1967, 1970, 1975, 1984, 1988, 1995, 2000, 2007, 2010 and 2011. The composite anomalous pattern datasets of annual and seasonal precipitation in China during El Ni?o and La Ni?a were developed. The analysis of the dataset on Qinling-Huaihe region has been published at the Journal of Progress in Geography, No.3, Vol.34, 2015. The dataset is archived in .tif format and compressed to 47 KB.
