Abstract:

As an important carrier of industrial culture, the systematic protection and management of industrial heritage rely on the support of standardized spatial and attribute data. The spatial distribution dataset of 266 National Industrial Heritage items across 7 batches in China (2017-2025) was developed based on the lists of National Industrial Heritage batches announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology from 2017 to 2025 (The data is unavailable in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan), according to the provincial and municipal administrative divisions where the declaring regions or units are located. The dataset includes: (1) the spatial distribution of 266 national industrial heritage projects across their respective provinces, cities, and counties, with attribute data covering heritage name, declaring unit, core items, administrative division, etc.; (2) the number of national industrial heritage projects in each province; (3) the number of national industrial heritage projects in each city. The dataset is archived in .shp and .xls formats, and consists of 7 data files with data size of 1.16 MB (compressed into 1 file with 146 KB).
