Abstract:

The North Moscos Islands is located in the Andaman Sea, Northern of the Moscos Islands. There is only 17 km wide between the Island and the Tanintharyi Coast at its east. Its geo-location is 14°15′57″N-14°27′39″N, 97°45′47″E-97°49′10″E. The North Moscos Islands belongs to the Dawei District of the Tanintharyi Region of Myanmar. It is consisted of Heinze Islands and Bok Ye-gan Group. Main islands are Bashuhino Island and Heinze Bok Island. The total area of the Islands is 8.91 km², and the coastline is 39.72 km. All islands are governed by the Burma Forest Department as the Moscos Islands Wildlife Sanctuary. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 207 KB (Compressed to 86.3 KB in two files).
