Abstract：
Based on the manufacturing added value and carbon emissions data covering 18 economic bodies (Australia, Canada, Mainland China, Hong Kong China, Denmark, France, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, United Kingdom and United States) from 1965 to 2010 and the calculating result from the high-carbon load industries, the value added rate of high carbon-loaded manufacturing sectors and decoupling index dataset in 18 economic bodies (1965 – 2010) was developed using the logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI). The data results indicate that the trend of change in newly industrialized countries and regions and old industrialized countries is basically the same regardless of the structure, technology, or scale factors. However, they are relatively lagging behind. The dataset is consisted of two data files, including (1) The percentage of high carbon dioxide loaded manufacturing sectors' value added of 18 economic bodies from 1965 to 2010; (2) The coupling relationship between manufacturing and carbon emissions in 18 economic bodies from 1965 to 2010. The dataset is archived in .xlsx data format with the data size of 29.6 KB. The analysis paper based on this dataset was published at the journal of Resource Science Vol. 39, No. 12, 2017.
